Screened pool cage with bronze aluminum frame over a pool and spa in Ellenton, Florida

Pool cages and screen rooms in Ellenton.

Ellenton is where Manatee County stops being suburban. Older screen rooms and lanais in the riverside communities, new pool cages out toward Parrish. Both are ours, and both are a short drive up I-75 from the shop.

Ellenton, specifically

Screen rooms as often as pool cages, and a lot of them on manufactured homes.

The communities along the river — Colony Cove, Ridgewood Oaks, Ellenton Gardens — have more screen rooms and lanai enclosures than full pool cages, and many sit on manufactured homes. The aluminum is lighter and the attachment to the house is the part that fails. We rescreen and repair those, and we say when a room is past repairing.

Out toward Parrish the houses are new and the cages came with them. There the calls are the same as Lakewood Ranch: a torn panel, a door that drifts, a cage the owner wants bigger.

Ellenton is Manatee County: structural work is permitted and inspected through the same office as Bradenton, and we pull it under our own license.

Questions

Questions from Ellenton homeowners

Not here? Call (941) 961-0162.

Do you rescreen screen rooms on manufactured homes?

Yes. The aluminum is lighter and the connection to the home is usually the weak point, so we check that first. If the frame is sound, a rescreen brings the room back for a fraction of a new one.

How much does rescreening cost in Ellenton?

Quoted individually. Size, the mesh you choose, height and access, and the condition of the spline grooves all move the number. We measure on site rather than guessing over the phone.

Do I need a permit to rescreen?

Generally no. Replacing screen on a sound enclosure is not permitted work. A permit is required when the frame is replaced or altered, and we pull that under CRC1334065.

Do you install new pool cages in Ellenton and Parrish?

Yes. Engineered for the span, permitted through Manatee County and inspected. Where there is an HOA, we prepare the architectural package.

How long does the work take?

A panel repair is usually one visit. Where a permit is involved, most projects finish within 20 business days of the permit being issued.
