New pool cages in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Designed for the house, engineered for the address.
Since 2022 we have finished more than 120 jobs in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, new pool cages among them. We measure, design the cage around your pool and house, get the engineering done for your address, pull the permit and build it. An engineer on our team follows every step.
Where new cages come from here
Pools added after closing, canal homes, and old frames on good decks.
Pools added after closing. In the newer neighborhoods off Burnt Store Road, Kings Highway and in West Port, many homes close without a pool, and the pool comes a year or two later. The pool needs a barrier before its final inspection, so we schedule the cage around the deck.
Canal homes in Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store Isles sit on salt water. That means a frame designed for open exposure, coated or stainless fasteners, and a finish that holds up near the harbor. If your deed restrictions set the color or roof style, we draw it that way.
Old frame, good deck. On many Port Charlotte homes from the 1980s and 1990s, the aluminum has reached its end but the deck is fine. We check the anchors and footings, and the quote says plainly what can stay and what has to be replaced.
What we do in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda
Four kinds of job
Repair before rescreen, rescreen before replacement — and an engineer on our team following each job step by step.
New pool cage
For a new pool or a home that closed without a cage: mansard, dome, gable or flat roof, your frame color, engineered drawings, permit and inspection.
Cage replacement
When the old frame is done: we take it down, check the deck and footings, and build the new one to the current code.
Repair and rescreen
Torn panels, doors and loose fasteners, or a full rescreen in Phifer 18/14, 20/20 no-see-um or polyester screen.
Lanai and retractable screens
A screened lanai off the back of the house, or motorized screens for an open patio.

Questions
Questions from Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda homeowners
Not here? Call (941) 961-0162.
Do I need a permit for a new pool cage?
Yes. A new enclosure needs engineered drawings and a permit: Charlotte County for most addresses, and the City of Punta Gorda inside city limits. We pull it under CRC1334065.
Can you work with my pool contractor?
Yes. The cage usually goes up after the deck is done and before the pool's final inspection. We set the schedule with your pool contractor so the barrier is in place when the inspector comes.
What wind load is the cage designed for?
For the wind speed and exposure at your address, as the Florida Building Code requires. A Florida engineer signs the drawings, and homes on open water get a design for that higher exposure.
Will it meet my deed restrictions or HOA rules?
In Punta Gorda Isles, Burnt Store Isles and most newer communities, color, roof style and screen are set by deed restrictions or an architectural committee. We prepare what they ask for and build to what they approve.
Who checks the work while it is being done?
An engineer on our team follows every job step by step — from the first measurement and the quote to the final walkthrough with you. On permitted work that includes the drawings, the permit and the inspection.
What warranty do you give?
Our work carries a 1-year labor warranty, and the materials we install carry the manufacturer's own warranty. The written terms come with every estimate.
