Pool cages on Marco Island. Canal homes, Gulf exposure, an engineer on every job.
On Marco Island almost every pool cage looks out on a canal, the bay or the Gulf. We build new cages designed for that exposure, and we repair and rescreen the ones with a sound frame. An engineer on our team follows every job step by step.
Marco Island, specifically
Open water on every side, and a city of its own.
Close to the Gulf, the design changes. Homes facing open water need a cage engineered for a higher wind exposure than a home inland. The engineer sets that for your address, not for the island as a whole.
Salt air works on the hardware first. Screws, spline and door hardware wear out before the aluminum does. On a repair we check them panel by panel; on a new cage we pick fasteners and a finish made for the coast.
Marco Island has its own building department. New cages are permitted with the City of Marco Island, and many condos and associations add their own review on top. We prepare both.
What we do in Marco Island
Four kinds of job
Repair before rescreen, rescreen before replacement — and an engineer on our team following each job step by step.
New pool cage
Engineered for the exposure at your address, wide panels toward the water, permitted with the city and inspected.
Panel repair
Torn panels with new spline, corroded screws and fasteners replaced, doors adjusted or replaced.
Full rescreen
Phifer 18/14, Phifer 20/20 no-see-um, or polyester screen for a stronger, cleaner view of the water.
Lanai enclosures
A screened lanai, or part of the cage under a solid insulated roof.

Questions
Questions from Marco Island homeowners
Not here? Call (941) 961-0162.
Who issues the permit on Marco Island?
The City of Marco Island. A new cage needs engineered drawings and a permit, which we pull under CRC1334065. Many associations also review the design first.
What wind load is the cage designed for?
For the wind speed and exposure at your address, as the Florida Building Code requires. A Florida engineer signs the drawings, and homes on open water get a design for that higher exposure.
What screen holds up best near the Gulf?
Polyester screen is stronger than standard fiberglass and holds up well on the water side. Phifer 20/20 no-see-um keeps midges out at dusk.
Will the cage match my HOA's rules?
We prepare the drawings, frame color, roof style and screen specification your architectural review board asks for, and we build to what they approve.
Who checks the work while it is being done?
An engineer on our team follows every job step by step, from the drawings to the final walkthrough with you. On permitted work that includes the permit and the inspection.
What warranty do you give?
Our work carries a 1-year labor warranty, and the materials we install carry the manufacturer's own warranty.
