Pool cage repair and rescreening in Nokomis and Osprey. Between the bay and the Trail.
Since 2022 we have finished more than 85 jobs at Nokomis and Osprey addresses — mostly roof and side panels, doors and full rescreens, and some screened lanais. The crew that quotes the job does the work, and an engineer on our team follows it step by step.
What Nokomis and Osprey call us for
Roof panels first, then the side facing the water.
Roof panels go first here. In our Jobber records the most common line on a Nokomis or Osprey job is a top panel, followed by side panels and loose or rusted fasteners. If the rest of the mesh is still tight we replace the torn bays and stop there.
Close to the bay, salt air works on the hardware. On homes near Little Sarasota Bay, Lyons Bay and the creeks, screws and spline wear out before the aluminum does. We check them panel by panel and the quote says which ones get replaced.
East of the Trail the communities are newer. In places like Talon Preserve, Rivendell and the neighborhoods off Laurel Road, owners ask about no-see-um screen on the preserve side, a bronze rescreen, or a screened lanai off the back of the house.
What we do in Nokomis and Osprey
Four kinds of job
Repair before rescreen, rescreen before replacement — and an engineer on our team following each job step by step.
Panel repair
Roof, side or bottom panels in Phifer 18/14 fiberglass with new spline, plus rusted screws and fasteners. Doors adjusted or replaced.
Full rescreen
When the mesh is chalky and tears at the spline on its own. Phifer 18/14, Phifer 20/20 no-see-um, or an upgrade to polyester screen.
Lanai & insulated roof
A screened lanai off the back of the house, or part of the cage under a solid insulated roof. Engineered and permitted.
New pool cage
When corrosion has gone through the anchors or a storm took the frame. Engineered drawings, Sarasota County permit, inspection.

Questions

How is a repair priced in Nokomis or Osprey?
By the panels: how many, which ones and how high. Roof panels take more labor than side panels, and fasteners, spline or a door can be added.
We count the panels on site and the written quote lists each one.
Should I use no-see-um screen near the bay or a preserve?
If midges get through at dusk, it is worth it. Phifer 20/20 is a tighter weave than standard 18/14. Many owners use it on the water or preserve side and standard mesh on the rest.
Who checks the work while it is being done?
An engineer on our team follows every job step by step — from the first measurement and the quote to the final walkthrough with you. On permitted work that includes the drawings, the permit and the inspection.
Do I need a permit?
Not to rescreen or repair panels on a sound frame. A new cage, an insulated roof or any change to the frame needs engineered drawings and a Sarasota County permit, which we pull under CRC1334065.
What warranty do you give?
Our work carries a 1-year labor warranty, and the materials we install carry the manufacturer's own warranty. The written terms come with every estimate.
