Fort Myers, specifically

Older homes by the river, new communities inland.

Along McGregor Boulevard and the river the homes are older and the cages have often been patched for years. We tell you honestly whether a repair or a rescreen still makes sense, or whether the frame is done.

Raised or remodeled homes change the height of the pool deck. The new cage is designed for that height and those anchors, not copied from the old one.

East of I-75, in the gated communities off Daniels Parkway and Colonial Boulevard, an architectural review board usually sets the frame color and roof style. We prepare the drawings and specs the board asks for.

Questions

Questions from Fort Myers homeowners

Not here? Call (941) 961-0162.

Who issues the permit in Fort Myers?

Inside city limits, the City of Fort Myers. Outside them, Lee County. A new cage needs engineered drawings and a permit, which we pull under CRC1334065.

Repair or new cage?

If the frame is straight and the anchors are solid, repair or rescreen. If the aluminum is corroded through or the deck height changed, a new cage.

What wind load is the cage designed for?

For the wind speed and exposure at your address, as the Florida Building Code requires. A Florida engineer signs the drawings, and homes on open water get a design for that higher exposure.

Can you work with my pool contractor?

Yes. The cage usually goes up after the deck is done and before the pool's final inspection. We set the schedule with your pool contractor so the barrier is in place when the inspector comes.

Who checks the work while it is being done?

An engineer on our team follows every job step by step, from the drawings to the final walkthrough with you. On permitted work that includes the permit and the inspection.

What warranty do you give?

Our work carries a 1-year labor warranty, and the materials we install carry the manufacturer's own warranty.
